Groups · Daring Greatly™ & Rising Strong™
Small, honest groups based on the research of Dr. Brene Brown. Because some of the bravest work is easier when you are not doing it alone, and easier still among people who understand.
What these are
These groups grow out of Dr. Brene Brown's years of research on vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. They are experiential, not lectures. You do the work in a small circle of people, and something happens there that cannot happen alone: you watch other people be brave, and it makes it safer to be brave yourself.
I offer two ten-week series, Daring Greatly™ and Rising Strong™, along with an ongoing monthly maintenance group for people who want to keep the work alive. Men's and women's groups meet separately, so each circle can be honest without hesitation.
The groups
Build shame resilience and learn to show up as yourself. This series works with vulnerability, worthiness, and the courage to be seen, so the armor you have carried starts to come off.
Learn to get back up. This series is about what happens after we struggle, fail, or are hurt: facing the emotion, examining the stories we tell ourselves, and rising with a truer one.
For people who have completed a series and want to keep going. Built around The Gifts of Imperfection™, using junk journaling and somatic practices to keep the work in your body, not just your head.

Questions
Daring Greatly™ focuses on shame resilience, vulnerability, and worthiness: learning to show up and be seen. Rising Strong™ focuses on what happens after we struggle, fail, or get hurt, the process of facing the emotion, examining the stories we tell ourselves, and getting back up with a truer story. Both are based on Dr. Brene Brown's research and run as ten-week groups.
Yes. Men's and women's groups meet separately. It makes it easier for each circle to be fully honest.
The Daring Way™ maintenance group is an ongoing group for people who have completed a series and want to keep the work going. It meets once a month, on the second Tuesday from 4:00 to 5:30pm, and is built around The Gifts of Imperfection™, using junk journaling and somatic practices.
The maintenance group is designed for people who have completed Daring Greatly™ or Rising Strong™. If you are not sure where to start, email me and we will find the right fit.
No. These groups are psychoeducational and skills-based, facilitated by a licensed therapist and Certified Daring Way Facilitator, but they are not group therapy. If you are looking for therapy, I offer that separately.
Email angie@bravingwellness.com to get on the list for the next group. I will share the current dates and details and help you find the right starting point.
Who leads the group
I am Angie Hatch, a Certified Daring Way Facilitator. I do not lead these groups from a distance. I believe in this work because I have felt what it does, in the people I love and in my own life.
A group is only as brave as it feels safe. Holding that safety, so each person can show up honestly, is the part I care about most.

If you are tired of carrying it alone, come do the brave work alongside people doing the same.
